Membership Categories and Criteria
PPS is composed of pathologists dedicated to excellence in the teaching, research and practice of pulmonary pathology.
Regular Members - Individuals who have conducted, published, or supported the conduct of meritorious original research in anatomic and/or pulmonary pathology, who support the mission of the Division, and hold a doctoral degree or have equivalent experience shall be eligible for regular membership. Regular members shall have the right to vote and hold office as well as other benefits designated by the Council. Annual Dues: $100/year
Trainee Members - Individuals who were recently awarded a doctoral degree and who occupy a post-doctoral or residency position at an academic center, a hospital, a research institution or in industry and who support the mission and aims of the Division shall be eligible for Trainee membership. Students enrolled in a graduate program leading to a degree in medicine, osteopathy, pathology or a related discipline who support the mission and aims of the Division shall be eligible for Trainee membership. Trainee members shall meet other standards as set by the Council, including annual certification by the supervisor or head of the educational unit. Annual Dues: $25/year
Associate Member - Individuals who support the mission and aims of the Division but do not have a graduate degree or evidence of scholarly work in pathology and related disciplines shall be eligible for associate membership. Annual Dues: $60/year
