The Department of Pathology of the Cleveland Clinic is seeking a full-time Pulmonary Pathologist to join our fully subspecialized high-volume practice. The section of Pulmonary Pathology receives approximately 5,000 specimens a year. Biopsy specimens accessioned to the service include core needle and bronchoscopic biopsies, transbronchial cryobiopsies, surgical lung biopsies for interstitial lung disease, transplant transbronchial biopsies, and pleural and mediastinal biopsies. Larger specimens include surgical resections for lung cancer (and other primary and metastatic neoplasms), thymic neoplasms and mesothelioma, and explanted lungs. We also provide consultation services to pathologists around the country via a robust and growing extramural thoracic consult service. Thoracic Pathology Research Fellowship Position
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is offering a one- to two-year Thoracic Pathology Research Fellowship position. All applicants should be MDs or MD/PhDs who have completed residency training in anatomic pathology (or AP/CP) in the United States or Canada and are certified (or are eligible for certification) by the American Board of Pathology. The fellowship involves one or preferably two years of translational research in thoracic pathology, focusing on morphologic, clinicopathologic and genomic analysis of thoracic tumors. Candidates with the interest in genomic and/or computational aspects of thoracic pathology are particularly encouraged to apply. Fellows will be supervised by thoracic pathologists within the Department of Pathology.
The fellow will be exposed to research opportunities based on a high-volume MSKCC hospital clinical service as well as an extramural consult service. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Academic Surgical Pathologist for a tenure-track/tenured or fixed-term position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This position will primarily involve diagnostic surgical pathology, with an emphasis on genitourinary, ENT, and/or pulmonary pathology. The successful candidate will become a member of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, and will have opportunities for collaborative research with interdisciplinary research teams at UNC. Academic Pulmonary Pathologist / Senior Staff Surgical Pathologist
The Henry Ford Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks 2 board-certified subspecialty surgical pathologists to support a multitude of rapidly growing clinical programs in the Henry Ford Health System. Pathologists with expertise and interest in Pulmonary Pathology including interstitial lung disease are especially encouraged to apply.
Given growth of the medical system, applicants with other areas of expertise including breast, head and neck, genitourinary and renal pathology are also invited to apply.
The Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, is a leading US academic medical center, one of the largest healthcare delivery systems in Southeast Michigan and a Malcolm Baldrige national quality award winner. The Pathology Department is an integrated service line overseeing laboratory testing at 6 system hospitals, 36 clinic delivery sites, and a large outreach program. It is further recognized as the world's leading Lean management laboratory enterprise and the only ISO 15189 accredited laboratory in Michigan. The Department is both subspecialized and community-based, serving as a major teaching affiliate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and supporting a combined AP/CP residency and fellowships in Medical Genetics and Informatics. It is composed of 42 senior staff pathologists and clinical scientists, complemented by 720 technical staff, with annual case volumes of 40 million clinical laboratory tests, over 160,000 surgical pathology specimens, 80,000 cytopathology cases and over 30,000 molecular & cytogenetic tests. Pathology oversees a Research Biorepository that houses over 70,000 frozen specimens. The Department has 9 board certified molecular pathology staff in the Division of Molecular Pathology and Genomic Medicine who oversee comprehensive NGS analysis of hereditary and neoplastic diseases and provide mutation-specific therapeutic decision support through the Henry Ford Center for Precision Diagnostics. Both the Biorepository and Molecular operations support staff academic endeavors.
