A  tour of the city which is on UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage. This ancient town, surrounded by ramparts and fortresses, is a treasure trove of architectural and cultural masterpieces, scrupulously preserved over the centuries. A pleasant walk will take you to the Rector’s Palace, the Dominican Monastery, the Cathedral, as well as to other places of interest.

Half day tour

The boat will sail from the Old City Harbour to island Lokrum. Lokrum is a pine wooded island on just a 10 minutes voyage. Lokrum is a favorite excursion spot dating back to the middle ages. In 1976 it was declared a natural forest reserve. For the most Lokrum is covered with thick vegetation and there are many types of” true” Mediterranean vegetation on a small area. After a pleasant walk through island Lokrum, we shall sail around the city walls with excellent photo opportunities and then back to the city harbor. Some snacks (walnuts, almonds & dried figs) and local liqueurs will be served on board.

This excursion will give you opportunity to taste delicacies from Ston area.
Departure from hotel by bus along the Adriatic coastline till the small town of Ston which is the “oysters capital” of Croatia. This little town is often called a small size copy of Dubrovnik. The magnificent walls surrounding the town are 5 km long and the construction started in 1317 and was finished only in the 16th century. It is one of the longest defensive walls in the world. The ancient salt pans that were in use during the Dubrovnik Republic are also interesting. Salt is still produced here. Video presentation of salt production in hangar with fish pate tasting + glass of wine. After that, a tasting in the Vukas winery follows, since Peljesac is famous for its vineyards and good wines. Lunch in restaurant Bota Šare in Mali Ston. After the lunch sightseeing of Ston and free time before return to Dubrovnik.

Once an ancient Roman town, nowadays Cavtat is one of the most beautiful small towns along the Adriatic coast. The special charm of this old city are the buildings that have remained from the time of the old Dubrovnik Republic. Cavtat is the home town of the great painter Vlaho Bukovac (19th and 20th c.). In his birth-place there is the Memorial Home of Vlaho Bukovac with his atelier. Join your guide for an orientational sightseeing walk and enjoy masterpieces of this great painter. Afterwards proceed the journey to the restaurant Konavoski dvori, situated in the grounds of an ancient mill right next to the Ljuta river where traditional dinner will be served.
